I have been offered one of the positions I interviewed for recently - after a face-to-face interview followed up by a phone call interview to ascertain how my own autism might affect me in the position. Pending my references (which should hopefully be fine) I will have a new place of employment, working to help young people with autism and learning difficulties access the community, use public transport, and develop their independence.

I am very happy.

Thank you - I am feeling much more optimistic about life in general. I mean, I have to navigate a whole new workforce but at least this time I am going in completely open about my autism so that is going to be one less thing I have to subconsciously worry about. I'm really looking forward to starting work - I have no life, I'm getting agitated with boredom at the moment because I have no steady routine.

That's great, I'm really glad you're feeling positive about it. And it sounds like they're really good about making sure you feel comfortable and supported re your autism, so I am most pleased. Roll on new start!
